Musmos Na Sumibol Sa Gubat Ng Digma Competes In Film Festival In Argentina

Iar Arondaing’s Musmos na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma competed at the 2019 Festival Internacional de Cine Austral held in Argentina from December 3 to 6, 2019

Musmos na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma won the best sound award during the Cinemalaya 2018 Awards Night. In September 2019, the film won special jury award at the 2019 Baikal International Film Festival in Russia.

Arondaing’s film is a coming-of-age tale of a Muslim girl in Marawi living amid an age-old culture of inter-familial dispute. This is Arondaing’s second Cinemalaya film.
