Nabubulok Wins In Film Festival In Taiwan

Cinemalaya 2017’s Nabubulok by Sonny Calvento won best sound effects in Formosa Festival of International Filmmaker Awards in Taiwan.

Nabubulok, awarded best production design during Cinemalaya 2019, is loosely based on a 2002 case in Panay, wherein a Filipina’s disappearance leads a small town taking matters into their own hands—suspecting her American husband of murder.
