Ms. Rica Arevalo, Head of the Education Division of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, emphasized Cinemalaya’s vital role in shaping the future of Filipino cinema. She reflected on how the festival continues to nurture new voices and strengthen the backbone of the country’s cinematic arts, making a rich contribution to national culture.
